This is the project in which menstruation, which we have learned to reject, surrounded with shame and considered disgusting, becomes a shelter, closeness and safety. As a young person, it was difficult for me to accept the physical gender I was born into, but menstruation did not allow me to forget that I am a woman. Cuddling up to the fleshiness and ugliness of the experience of femininity allowed me to understand over time that my problem was not my biological gender, but rather the image that was so strongly associated with it. By approaching everything we learned not to talk about, which was supposed to be the hideousness of femininity hidden from the light of the sun, I have found an understanding that femininity for the end of the day does not have much in common with its cultural image.

And I fell in love with femininity so revealed.
